PET PORTRAITS BY TRUDIE SCHUYLER BARRERAS

Trudie has begun a major project of doing pet portraits for various friends, and also as "donation incentives" for charities such as churches and animal care organizations.  These are primarily done in pastel, in size suitable for framing in 8 x 10 format.  Anyone interested in inquiring in more detail about this project should contact Trudie at tbarreras@bellsouth.net

Sissy Loves Snickers

Sissy is the friend of Deejay Johnson, who is the one from whom we got our own beloved Shadow and Stash back in 1999.  Trudie recently reconnected with him, and was delighted to do this portrait of Sissy, who obviously deligths in Snickers candy bars..

Sophie the Beautiful

Sophie is a lovely greyhound recently adopted by Matt McClure and Josh Noble.  She resides in New York City.

Dog Quilt

Trudie decided to attempt a new departure with pet portraits by painting them on muslin fabric using acrylics.  Each portrait is 12" x 12".  Ray assembled them into the quilt, and quilting was done by both Ray and Trudie.  The portraits are of Sharon Morgan's dogs, and the quilt is in her collection.  It was completed in January of 2009.
