Starting the New Year, the second year of the Schuyler Art Website, we hope that some of the friends of Ted and Lee who have not yet shared some of their recollections of the Schuylers, as well as their cherished paintings will get the word, and get in touch.

My name is Robyn Troiber. I live in Wisconsin and I am the granddaughter of Peggy Schuyler Kunstman. I have one of Uncle Ted's oil paintings and a water color. I believe my Uncle Rick also has one of his oil paintings. I hope you can get back to me.

I am a friend of Ray and Trudie and was fortunate enough to be given a gift of 2 of Trudie's watercolors. I have seen a few of the painting done by Lee in the collections of friends of mine and have always admired her work as well. Perhaps one day I will be fortunate enough to have the opportunity to acquire one of Lee's painting as well. Thank you for starting this website so that others may share in these wonderful works!

Hello,

My name is Leah Johnson. My grandfather, Theodore Johnson II, went to the Art Institute of Chicago with Ted and Lee.

Ted Schuyler once gave a painting to my grandparents, which now hangs in my parents' house. The painting is a desert landscape, dated 1962.

I now attend the University of New Mexico as a graduate student, so the scenery is very familiar to me now. I am excited to visit Ted's painting at the Hacienda Restaurant in Old Town, and I will bring my parents along to see it next time they visit me in NM.

Although I never met him, my wife gave me a gift of a Ted Schuyler watercolor in about 1966 while we were living in Albuquerque. It is signed and dated 1965 and portrays an adobe house in the mountains with autumn leaves and a touch of snow. It now hangs in our house in Kent, Ohio.
